Murata Manufacturing Institute (Headquarters: Kyoto Prefecture, Changgang City, on behalf of President and President of Banning Service: Murata Hengfu) has developed a high-level * 1 power inductor (hereinafter referred to as this product) with high ESD * 2 voltage withstanding characteristics for on-board power supply, and began to sample shipment in turn.
1. R & D background
This product maintains the performance of power inductors accumulated in the production of people's livelihood equipment, and improves the vehicle specifications based on ESD strategy. It realizes high performance and reliability for ADAS*3, on-board information entertainment system, transmission system, high-speed on-board network and other on-board applications.
2. Characteristics of New Products
Among the representative DFEC series of power inductors produced by Murata, which have a large market share for people's livelihood equipment such as smartphones, the dimensions of 252012 and 20112 are respectively upgraded to vehicle quality. They are DFE2HCAH and DFE2MCAH series, and are commercialized.

Standard AEC-Q200*4 for Passive Devices on Vehicles
Ensuring a high level of ESD withstand voltage of 1kV (DFE2MCAH series withstand voltage of 500V) far beyond the traditional metal inductors in the ESD model HBM*5
Implementing small, large inductance * 6 and high insulation * ESD tolerance
Guarantee the Temperature Characteristic of-40 ~150 Temperature Required for Vehicle Use
Time of shipment and future development
The DFE2HCAH series has been shipped since October, and the DFE2MCAM series is scheduled to be shipped in January 2019.
