Capacitors are one of the indispensable electronic components in our life. When installing capacitors, we should avoid the following situations. It is well known that the quality of capacitors is also affected by temperature. So what we need to pay attention to, engineers and novices have to see.
1. High temperature (temperature exceeding maximum service temperature).
2. The service life of the circuit used in repeated rapid charging and discharging, such as fast charging, may be reduced due to capacity decline, temperature rise and so on.
3. Applying the reverse voltage or alternating current voltage, when the capacitor is connected to the circuit according to the reverse polarity, the capacitor will lead to the short circuit of the electronic circuit, and the resulting current will lead to the damage of the capacitor.
4. Overcurrent (current exceeding rated ripple current), when applied ripple current exceeding rated value, will lead to overheating of capacitor body, capacity decline and life shortening.
5. Overvoltage (voltage exceeding rated voltage), when applied voltage on capacitor is higher than rated working voltage, leakage current of capacitor will rise, and its electro-oxygen physical properties will deteriorate in a short time until damaged.
6. When the capacitor is installed, there is space above the explosion-proof valve of the capacitor, wiring and other components are avoided above the explosion-proof valve, heating elements are avoided around the capacitor and circuit board.
The six points mentioned in this paper are just one of the problems we should pay attention to before installing capacitors. We should try to avoid using capacitors in this situation.
