Murata commercialization supports CAN FD Class3 common mode choke coil

In recent years, the automobile industry has been aiming at safer and more comfortable driving, and the advanced technology for controlling the basic movement of automobiles has developed rapidly. Under such a development trend, it is required to speed up the in-vehicle network that connects ECUs (automobile electronic control units), sensors, motors, etc., and the data transmission speed is replaced by the highest CAN Mbps of 1 Mbps (bits per second) to the higher speed CAN FD. .

This product makes full use of the company's rich proprietary technology related to CMCC design and manufacturing, and realizes the high performance and high reliability required by the CMCC for CAN FD through the unique winding structure.

*1 IEC62228-3: One of the electrical and electronic technical standards established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

*2 CAN FD (CAN with Flexible Data-Rate): A new generation of in-vehicle network standards. An in-vehicle communication standard capable of transmitting and receiving a larger amount of data (maximum 64 bytes per frame) at a higher speed (1 Mbps or more) than conventional.

*3 DCMR (Differential to Common Mode Rejection): The differential transform is a common mode conversion amount.

*4 DCMR Class3: The DCMR characteristics required for the CMCC used in CAN are divided into three Classes, and DCMR Class3 is the most stringent DCMR feature.

An in-vehicle network installed in a car with many noise sources must be able to communicate stably, and perfect noise countermeasures are indispensable. When transitioning from CAN to a higher-speed CAN FD, the specifications for noise countermeasures are also stricter.

The DCMR of the conventional CAN CMCC is Class1, and even the high-precision DCMR is just Class 2.

This product minimizes the difference in characteristics of the two coils that make up the CMCC, and controls the deterioration of the DCMR. The DCMR (Ssd21, Ssd12*7) required for the CMCC for CAN FD required by the IEC standard "IEC62228-3" is realized. ) Class3. Especially in the low frequency band of several hundred Hz or more, an ultra-high level DCMR is achieved.
