Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Mass production of this product is planned from 2020.
With the popularization of 5G-enabled smartphones and the multifunctionalization and miniaturization of wearable terminals, electronic circuits are also required to be further miniaturized and high-density. Among them, multilayer ceramic capacitors are indispensable components of electronic devices and are widely used in electronic devices such as smart phones and wearable terminals. About 800 to 1,000 multilayer ceramic capacitors are built into high-end smartphones, and the market demand for miniaturization of this product is very significant.
Using our unique ceramic and electrode material micronization and homogenization technology, we have achieved a mounting area ratio of approximately 50% compared to our conventional products (0402M size) with a capacitance value of 0.1 μF. Miniaturization with a volume ratio of about 80%. Compared with our company's same-size product (0201M size) that has been mass-produced, it has realized a large capacity of about 10 times.
In the future, the company will also develop high-precision and micro-lamination technologies for ceramics and electrode materials, expand the product lineup that meets market needs, and contribute to the miniaturization and high functionality of electronic equipment.
