Multilayer ceramic capacitors do not have specified allowable current (ripple) specifications, but please strictly observe the following requirements and confirm them in the actual circuit before use.
Check if the AC voltage or pulse voltage is continuously applied, and whether the capacitor is capable of using a large current. When using a DC rated voltage product in an AC voltage circuit or a pulse voltage circuit, please check the self-heating state because the AC voltage or pulse voltage will pass. Make sure that the surface temperature of the capacitor is within the upper limit of the operating temperature including the temperature rise caused by self-heating. When a capacitor is used in a high-frequency voltage or pulse voltage, there may be heat generation due to dielectric loss.
[Applicable when the rated voltage is below DC100V]
When measuring in an environment with an ambient temperature of 25°C, the self-heating temperature of the product itself is within 20°C. Please ensure that the surface temperature of the capacitor in the actual machine is used within the ultra-high operating temperature range.
[The rated voltage is applicable to the temperature characteristics X7R (R7), X7T (D7) above DC200V]
When measuring at a temperature of 25°C, ensure that the self-heating temperature of the capacitor itself is within 20°C. In addition, when measuring, use a K-type thermocouple with a small heat capacity of ø0.1 mm, and make the measurement without affecting the wind due to the radiant heat and convection of other components. Excessive heat generation may reduce the characteristics and reliability of the capacitor. (When the measurement is performed with the cooling fan, the measurement may not be performed correctly, so be sure to prohibit this operation.)
[The rated voltage is applicable to the temperature characteristics U2J (7U) and C0G (5C) above DC200V]
The low-loss series has a very high self-heating temperature and allows a very large power compared to the general X7R (R7) characteristics. However, if the self-heating reaches a load temperature of 20°C when the rated voltage is applied, the allowable power may be exceeded.
The transient heating will cause the characteristics and reliability of the capacitor to decrease. (When the measurement is performed with the cooling fan, the measurement may not be performed correctly, so be sure to prohibit this operation.)
