SMD capacitors are used in electrical appliances of all sizes in our lives. SMD capacitors are the core component of electrical appliances. The quality of SMD capacitors will directly affect the service life of electrical appliances, so we need to purchase SMD capacitors. How should businesses choose chip capacitors?


To judge the quality of chip capacitors, we can use the following methods:
Method 1: Capacity Judgment The judgment method is the same as above. If it is found that the greater the angle of the instrument pointer swings to the right, the larger the capacitance is; otherwise, the smaller the capacitance.
Method 2: Use a multimeter to determine the quality of R×1k file, touch the test leads to the two pins of the capacitor (capacity above 1μF). When turning it on, the pointer of the meter head should deflect clockwise and then gradually return counterclockwise. If it can’t be recovered, it will be stable. The subsequent reading is the leakage resistance of the capacitor. The greater the resistance, the better the insulation performance of the capacitor.

Method three, polarity determination When the positive electrode is connected, the polarity of the electrolytic capacitor can be judged according to the characteristics of low leakage current and large leakage resistance, and when the negative electrode is connected, the leakage current is large and the leakage resistance is low. Set the multimeter to the Q range of R×1k, first measure the leakage resistance of the electrolytic capacitor, then exchange the two test leads, and then measure the leakage resistance again. In these two tests, the leakage resistance is the smallest and the black test lead Connect to the negative electrode of the electrolytic capacitor, and connect the red test lead to the positive electrode of the electrolytic capacitor.

Method 4. Use the R×1k gear of the multimeter to detect the variable capacitors. Fix the two test leads to the fixed and movable terminals of the variable capacitor, and slowly rotate the shaft of the variable capacitor. There are bumps, otherwise it is normal. When in use, the moving piece should be grounded to prevent static electricity from the human body from introducing noise through the shaft during adjustment. After reading the above introduction, everyone knows that the quality of the chip capacitor determines the service life of the electrical appliance. Then we need to observe the appearance and color of the chip capacitor when buying, it is best to professionally use the above technical means After testing, everyone will be more assured of using such chip capacitors, and the safety and quality of electrical appliances will be further guaranteed.
